We love their clothes, we love their shoes, but can this leading brand build a cruiser skateboard that lasts? Time to take this Globe skateboard for a spin.
Those who don’t know the brand built by Matt, Steven, and Peter Hill have been living under a rock. Globe is a leading brand within the skateboarding community. They develop shoes, clothing, boards – heck, they create anything that has to do with skateboarding or extreme sports in general. They’ve even expanded to workwear. The stamp that Globe puts on the industry and the community is huge and they always pay us back with great quality products.
There is one thing that makes this cruiser stand out among all the others on the market and that is its size. The 32-inch board is a giant in comparison with other cruiser boards. But one of the better giants around (The BFG maybe). All materials used on this board by Globe can be considered of great quality. There is no way you can get disappointed by this board. Globe have checked each screw and bolt so that it provides an awesome ride. The steering, the handling and even doing some stunts have a great feel to them.
This board can withstand any abuse from the road, be it hard surface roads, sidewalks and crosswalks. It can even surpass any rural backroad. It offers a very smooth ride – even great for hills. We were especially surprised by the great quality of the grip tape. It provided us with good grip and solid comfort. And the design provided made some heads turn around the skatepark. The Big Blazer has the feeling, the looks, and the name. You can’t go wrong with this one.
Another plus side to us is the quality of the board itself. Being made out of bamboo wood it does not only look good, it also provides a quality that can withstand any abuse to it while doing tricks or just cruising around town.
We actually had a hard time trying to find a downside to this board even considering all the other great quality boards we’ve reviewed.
The Globe Big Blazer is an awesome cruiser board. It is the best board for people who love cruiser skateboards but have big feet. We wouldn’t recommend this to a beginner though, since this board is actually aimed at adults. It can even stand up to the pressure under the weight of larger adults. The only downside we could find is that at such a great quality in a skateboard demands a higher price. Still a wonderful board to put your feet on. And one to really consider when buying your first ever cruiser skateboard. Amazing board, amazing brand!
