A cruiser board that combines two of our favorite things: natural, eco-friendly Canadian wood and British design savvy. What could possibly go wrong? Time for our team to give it a spin.

Brand

It is awesome to review a cruiser skateboard that was built and designed in our little country. Osprey was founded 20 years ago along the Devon and Cornish coastline. They first focused on the local surf market but quickly expanded to the national UK market.

Today Osprey are active in a wide range of different urban sports. They continue to explore different sectors of surf and skate culture with an impressive variety of boards and scooters.

Design

We love the fact that we have the ability to roll with a genuine United Kingdom skateboard in our green and pleasant land. So it gets some patriotic plus points, is it really a good cruiser board?

Osprey immediately delivers by offering a lot of colourful and unique designs for this board. It is hard to make a choice which one is the best looking. In the end, we picked a wooden one. This wooden cruiser deck is built out of cold pressed Canadian maple. It not only adds to the durability and stability, but it also looks and smells perfect.

How is the ride on this beauty? Actually, pretty much perfect. The wheels have a great rotation which gives a smooth ride. The soft wheels offer a much better ride than a traditional longboard. This makes this cruiser a perfect board for riding along our roads and shopping malls. And the agility to dodge obstacles is amazing.

Penny is considered the standard within the cruiser boards, hence we compare a lot of our cruiser boards to that. But having ridden this one, we declare the Osprey cruiser board to be the new standard for cruiser skateboards. Yes, this board is much easier to ride then a Penny board.

The Osprey cruiser is actually the perfect cruiser board for any beginner within the skateboarding sport. It is easy to handle, the grip is excellent and to be honest we had a very hard time finding a downside to this board. Yep, we fell in love with it.

We have no hesitation recommending this. You won’t be disappointed and it is currently THE best cruiser skateboard on the market. The only hard part is choosing the board that fits your taste since there are lot of boards to pick from.
