Brand
Rexco is an innovative and energetic Chinese company that rates quality as a number one priority. They believe creativity is the backbone for their quality and business mentality. They aim to produce the best quality products and work together with some high rated brands in the world. And they also produce stunt scooters, a lot of them. Let us read up if they actually know what they are doing.
Design
The version we are reviewing by Rexco is the affordable starter version. At first glance, we were very happy that Rexco picked aluminium above steel for the materials used on this stunt scooter. We at Urban Wheelz have always been fan of aluminium; it gives the scooter a light weight feel and makes it speedier.
The downside is of course the sturdiness but with Rexco their scooter that isn’t the case. It has a global feel of good quality. Because we have never heard of Rexco, we were very skeptical of their machine.
However, we were very happy that Rexco put the time and the effort in development and not just throw a plastic and steel ride onto the market.
The major steel component with this scooter is the handlebar. Nothing spectacular can be said about the handle bar on the Rexco scooter. It is sturdy and does his job pretty good. We were a bit bugged by the foam grips, those can need some replacement after some heavy wear and tear. But nothing to be really alarmed by.
Although it isn’t a triple or double triple or quad triple clamp used, the standard clamp does what it is supposed to be doing. That is exactly the case with all materials used on this stunt scooter. Everything does what it is supposed and all this without expecting any fancy high end stuff. This makes the Rexco a starter model, especially suitable for children.
A major downside to our stunt scooter that was after an afternoon of heavy bunny hopping, grinding and fakies, the wheels and especially the bearings became loose. We had to dismantle all the stuff to fix the problem (a problem that can re-occur when you make good use of this stunt scooter). If children are going to use the scooter, this problem will have to be in the back of your mind all the time.
All in all, the Rexco scooter is a good option but there are better start up models on the market. We would suggest this scooter for younger children who are just learning the trade.
