We Ride - Empowering Life Album Review

We promote girls who can skate and we also promote girls who indulge themselves with music. Be it by playing an instrument or taking the front man – or in this case front woman – position. Is We Ride the ultimate soundtrack for your skate riding pleasure?

For five years this Spanish band has been working hard to take over the hardcore scene. And it is a storm when the opening song “voices” hits your ears for the first time. We Ride sets a dense wall of powerful, provocative hardcore.

We Ride mix razor sharp riffs with now and then a brutal breakdown. We could even spot some “Minor Threat” influences. The songs are very powerful and give a lot of energy and of course the female fronting makes this band stand out more. The way Mimi’s voice blends into the melodic and brutal riffs is a major plus.

This ferocious album is hostile and has some memorable riffs. Mimi does an amazing job in shouting her way through this album with anger and energy. This album is pure, authentic and brings back the HARD in hardcore. It’s a pleasure to ride to the skatepark with this album pounding in our ears. We definitely ride with We Ride.
